India takes Pakistan's denial to use its air space to world body

NEW DELHI — India has taken up Pakistan's denial of clearance to use its air space by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi while flying to Saudi Arabia, to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), sources from the External Affairs Ministry confirmed on Monday.

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi had announced Sunday that Islamabad had denied New Delhi's request for use of airspace for Modi.

An official source from Indian External Affairs Ministry said that New Delhi regrets Pakistan's decision, and added that the Indian government had taken up the issue of denial of over flight clearance with the relevant international civil aviation body.
